In cold weather our toes spend their days hidden in boots and pumps, but it’s still a good time to pamper yourself with a pedicure! I wanted to go all out Christmas with mine, so this is what I used –
I used a thin brush for the “candy cane” stripes on my middle toes, and for the polka dots on my big toes I used my all-time favorite makeshift dotting tool, a tiny sewing pin inserted into a pencil eraser.
In order to keep my pedi long wearing, I prepped my nails with OPI Chip Skip, used the Gelous as a base coat, and finished it all off with 3 Minute Artificials as my top coat.
This is not entirely my own idea, I was inspired by a similar mani design I came across on Pinterest, but I still wanted to share with you my results! This mani was really easy and I’m in love with how it turned out! Here is what I used:
The best part? Check out these prices:
Nail-Aid 3 Minute Artificials – Appx. $4 at Walmart
LA Color in Dizzy – $1 at my local Dollar Tree
NYC in French White Tip – Appx. $2 at Walmart
Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear in Starry Night – $1 at my local Dollar Tree
Gelous Gel Coat – $7 at Sally’s Beauty Supply
The most expensive part is the base and top coats that I used, but you can certainly use whatever products you happen to have on hand! If you are looking for a good base coat, I highly recommend the Gelous!
I applied one coat of Gelous, one coat of white, a second coat of Gelous, a second coat of white, and then one coat of Starry Night followed by one coat of Dizzy. I then sealed it with the 3 minute artificals.
